Seek God & Study His Word

Seek God in the heart of Brisbane City. We put knowing God first. We believe that your heart ignited through intimacy with Jesus is the best way to study God's Word.

Holy Fire Ministry Training School is an evening Bible School designed for working and busy people who want to grow in knowing God and His Word. The Father called us to begin in 2003 with the conviction that his Word and Spirit work together to authentically equip us for ministry. Since our inception, Jesus has led us on an amazing journey through the Bible and his living presence has been changing our lives. Our students are now leaders and pastors throughout Brisbane and beyond. And God's work continues to grow and increase.  This is no ordinary Bible School. We don't just study Scripture, but experience and live it out.

Registration for the Spirit Unit 2026 opens on 8 June.

The Apostolic Letters & Heart:

Romans to Jude

In Acts 2:42, we discover that the early church “were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching.” What did the apostles teach? And how can we recover the apostolic foundation of Jesus’ people?

Through The Apostolic Letters and Heart, we journey through Romans to Jude, relying on the Spirit’s power. We hear the heart of the apostles, especially Peter, Paul and John, and seek to live their message.

As we dive into their deep waters, we will unveil the mystery of who we are in Christ and who Christ is in us. Our goal is what Paul wrote to the Colossians, “We proclaim Him [Jesus], warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ” (Colossians 1:28).

Proclaim the Word:

Communicating Christ with Creativity

The New Testament reveals that God has given us a message to preach and teach. And it's not just for pastors; it's for you and all of God's people.

But how can we communicate this Good News creatively? How can we relate this message to our contemporary culture without compromising its ageless integrity?

In Proclaiming the Word, we'll answer these questions and equip you to communicate God's message with power, authenticity and artistry. Paul exhorted his spiritual son, Timothy: “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction” (2 Tim. 4:2, NIV).

The Spirit vs. The Flesh:

Be the Message

More than preaching the Word, we must be the message. Our lives are the greatest message we communicate. Yet, each of us experiences a battle within: the war between the Spirit and the flesh.

To the Galatians, Paul said, “For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other…” (Gal. 5:17, NIV). The apostle’s solution is found in the verse before: “Walk in the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh (Gal. 5:16, NIV).

In The Spirit vs. the Flesh, we explore how to walk and live in the Spirit. Along with our study of New Testament pneumatology, we will intertwine our continual expedition of Psalm 119.
